Greetings! This is my third year as Principal here at CCS. I have been a teacher here at CCS since 2009 and have been teaching for many years. I earned my Bachelors in Education from the University of Maryland in 1988 with teaching endorsements in secondary English, Communications, and Theater. I enjoy continuing education classes in Curriculum and Instruction, Administration and Technology. In addition to my other responsibilities, I oversee the College and Career Guidance Services of CCS, Site Coordinate Online and Dual Credit Courses through IDLA and NIC, and am the Junior/Senior class advisor.
The students I have the privilege of leading are some of the best people I know. Our High School English department studies 30 of America’s greatest authors and 18 great works of Western Civilization. Students engage in a rigorous composition program throughout High School to develop college level communication skills. In addition, students have the opportunity to take a wide variety of classes through the Idaho Digital Learning Academy and North Idaho College as High School electives or dual credit college students.
Some highlights from my 24 years of teaching include being a founder of Genesis Preparatory Academy, serving as a director on the Idaho Virtual Academy (IDVA) school board, owning and operating a one room school house for 12 middle and high school students, being a founder of the Idaho Home School Network, and writing curriculum. I am blessed and thankful to my great and amazing Savior for the joy of teaching these many years.
