At CCS we endeavor to, "equip" our students "for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ." (Eph 4:12-15)
We believe that through this approach we will empower our students to stand firm in their faith as they leave CCS to venture out into the world. We believe it equips them to be the servant leaders God has gifted them to be. We believe that serving others is Gods highest calling for them, whether it is an engineer or pastor, nurse or worship leader.
CCS provides several service opportunities for students and families during the school year. Each month the school participates in community service opportunities, such as, Coats 4 Kids and the Christmas Shoe Box program. Each grade is also taking part in service projects such as the 5th/6th grade soup project. In addition, larger projects like Change for the World and Africa Change are ongoing academic/service opportunities supported by classes like Africal Anthropology and Current World Problems, and in conjunction with the trips to Spanish Speaking Countries and Uganda.
We are excited at CCS for all that God has done and is doing. We are zealous to see our students embrace all that God has for them. Cultivating, equipping and empowering students to love God and serve others for His glory is the target of all we do. Please join us with your prayers, ideas, inspiration and participation so that we can see fruit in the lives of CCS students.
